Velvet Canyon was born of a desire to create something that was both beautiful and lasting, that seamlessly merged the forever appeal of vintage with a modern and minimalist aesthetic.
Pulling inspiration from our favorite frames of the 1960s and 70s, we have created an eyewear collection that is both thoughtful and timeless. Featuring classic silhouettes and a neutral soft color palette, each unique design carries a simple and summery sensuality and an artful appreciation for style in all its many forms. While effortlessly elevated, every detail of our design process is carefully considered; we use the highest quality materials, and all our styles feature custom tinted lenses and champagne-gold detailing (you’re worth it). Even the pouch we include to protect your sunnies is made of biodegradable, cruelty free vegan leather.
Velvet Canyon believes fully and fiercely in positive change, diversity, and equality, and we’re happy to put our money where our mouth is: 1% of our online sales go to charities close to our hearts, and we’ve pledged never to use animal products and to minimize our use of plastics. When we set out to make something beautiful and lasting, it was important that every step of the process be as simple and sustainable as possible. Our studio is solar powered and our frames are crafted from acetate, a renewable material made of wood and cotton fibers.
